We lose our natural decision-making skills in childhood

Parents want their children to grow up to be successful in the world. Unfortunately, that means teaching children to accept the knowledge that is given to them from the outside world without much prior thought. This blind acceptance leads to problems with discernment. People don’t learn to trust the voice inside themselves and or understand how to deal with the information they are given.

As solopreneurs, we need to learn how to move beyond our upbringing to follow our intuition so that we can make better decisions. Discerning information and improving the way you analyze decisions are keys to being successful solopreneurs.

Trusting your intuition is the first step to improving decision-making skills

Solopreneurs face so many decisions every day. Since there are tremendous challenges to making good decisions, we must use every resource available to us, both within ourselves and through reputable outside resources. Strengthening our awareness of opportunities, choices and challenges is the first step in developing dynamic outcomes and resolutions which will ultimately build the necessary resilience that all solopreneurs require. Learning to trust your intuition is a skill that can be built and practiced like any other.

Stay in the present

After learning to trust your intuition it is important to learn to be present in any situation. If you are fully focused on what is happening, you’ll learn to engage consciously. Staying in the present means avoiding distractions.

You can bring in your own subjective awareness once you are able to consciously engage fully in each situation. Conscious engagement will help you to appreciate your challenges, maximize your opportunities, and build your resilience.

Danute offers us so much information on how we can enhance our decision-making. Learn what you can do now to improve your life and business by improving your decision-making skills.
