Mark’s passion for helping businesses grow, thrive and make an impact on the world is what drove him to strike out on his own and start Clixable. Mark helps small business owners define who they are and what makes them unique in their space. It is important to understand that content marketing is a long-term brand investment. You should expect a minimum of one year and an average of 3-5 years to see a return on your investment.
The idea of content marketing is to create rich content to help drive traffic to your website. Weekly blog posts can be turned into white papers or you can pull out nuggets of information to use on social media to drive traffic back to your website.
If you are interested in getting the most out of your organic marketing efforts it’s important to be authentic. You shouldn’t look at your posts as a form of advertising; if you do, your audience will see right through you and scroll right past your posts.
Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable. People appreciate that. You don’t have to create the most polished piece of writing or content. Part of creating that authenticity is keeping it real.
Don’t try to sell your product right away. Rather than trying to sell to your audience try to help them instead. By providing potential clients with value you will build their trust so that they will come to you when they are ready to buy. The point of content marketing is to build trust and build your brand by educating and informing your potential clients.
Mark dishes out so much helpful information on content marketing. If this area has been a mystery to you then you won’t want to miss this episode of our marketing series. Make sure to share this episode with a solopreneur friend so that they can learn to organically grow their business too.
